Introspective Designs' Principal Designer KaNisa Alberto has been a creative visionary in all realms of design. Growing up in Indiana, she spent much of her downtime redesigning close relatives' and friends' homes with interior styling and remodeling as a hobby.
KaNisa earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Interior Architecture back in 2009. During her studies, she worked on collaboration projects with some of Indiana's most prestigious African American design firms. Previous work can be seen in Indianapolis and surrounding cities, from K12 Indiana Public Schools to Retail, Restaurants, and Hospitality.
Shortly after graduation, KaNisa made the brave decision to relocated her family to Los Angeles, California, where she freelanced and worked as an independent contractor for small boutique interior design firms.
She later landed a full-time career as a Senior Designer and then later transitioning to Design Director for Romanek Design Studio. Here she collaborated with multiple Designers, Architects, and Sub-Contractors for high-end residential and commercial spaces.
While dealing with projects and budgets ranging anywhere from $500,000 to a million dollars, she noticed that there is a opportunity to create functional, comfortable, and luxury spaces, that not only feel and look good to the naked eye, but also bringing the owner a sense of relief when dealing with a reasonable budget.
This is what she refers to as: "Affordable Luxury".
Fashion and Design is about affordable luxury.
"To succeed, designers need to be affordable, accessible, and aspirational."
